Dr. Kuhn is the Director of Technology in Englewood Schools, a 1-to-1 iPad and G-Suite for Education school district. Before working in Englewood, he was an instructional technologist at McREL and has experience coaching educators and delivering professional development and technical assistance in instructional technology, technology leadership, STEM, guaranteed and viable curriculum, classroom observation, and data-driven decision-making. He also wrote curriculum modules for online classes, conducted technology audits for districts, and trained educators in using walkthrough software.
He had been published in several journals, including Principal and Learning & Leading with Technology and is coauthor of Using Technology with Classroom Instruction that Works, 1st & 2nd editions (ASCD, 2007 and 2012) and What We Know About Mathematics Teaching and Learning, 3rd Ed. (McREL 2010). Before McREL, he worked in national laboratory technology outreach (NREL) and was a science and mathematics teacher in grades 6-12. He is also a former K-8 school principal.
Dr. Kuhn has a B.S. in Aircraft Engineering Technology (Embry Riddle Aeronautical University), an M.A. in Secondary Science Education (University of Denver), and a Ph.D. in Educational Technology Administration (University of Denver).
He is a Google Certified Educator Level 2 and Administrator. He is also a member of the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) and the Colorado Association of Leaders in Educational Technology (CALET).
